We lost Star Monday (18th). We found Her early morning down in the stall. From the looks of things, she had been down and struggling to get up for quite some time. Four of us worked for over two hours trying to get her up without success. In desperation, we reached out to the Middlefield Fire Department who in turn reached out to the Windsor Township Fire Department. Callie and David from the Windsor Township Fire Department stayed with us and we all worked to try and get Star to her feet. Dr. Noah Bianco from Buckeye Veterinary Services was called out to asses Star and the difficult decision to end her suffering was made.

Thank you to all who came to our assistance. What a great community we have. Thank you to each one of you who have donated to Beauty and Star.

Run free Star. You will be remembered by us as Starry Night and Star Power. You made such an impact in your short time with us.

Beauty is home and doing well after her eye removal surgery! Fortunately it was not cancerous, but had atrophied due to uveitis. She'll need a few bandage changes but already seems to be feeling better. Thank you all for your support!
