About the Farm

The Draft Horse Project in Windsor, Ohio is a non-denominational, faith-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that welcomes all. Our draft horses provide an experiential platform that allows hope and healing to transform individuals, couples, groups, and communities.

Our Horses

The Draft Horse Project is committed to changing the lives of people and animals alike. This includes our draft horses, who have been rescued and rehabilitated to help others find hope and healing. We currently have eight horses residing on the Farm

The Goats

Naomi, Joy and Ester love people and playing on pretty much anything!

The Pigs

Come meet the Kune Kunes! we have 8 ladies and 5 gentlemen!

Chickens

The Bresse Chickens are always up to something and curious to see new people.

Sheep

Our newest addition and settling in well, are the Dorper sheep.

Animal "Staff"

The Farm wouldn't be complete without our animal kingdom eyes and ears! They keep the others company, safe and communicate to us in many unique ways.

Protection Services / Welcomer

Mercy

Mercy embodies the Draft Horse Project's spirit, mission and heart. She greets everyone with unconditional love and acceptance; making you feel welcome, and warm. She helps us daily with chores and lets us know when anything is out of the ordinary.

Farm Hunter

Pumpkin

Found as a kitten in the driveway, Pumpkin has stayed to earn his keep as the Farm's barn cat! You can find him hunting almost anywhere on the farm, except the barn.

Clean up / companionship

Rooney and his Girls

Rooney and his girls are hardy Orpington Chickens. You can find them all over the farm adventuring and visiting the other animals.
